Born and raised in Utah County, Alyssa Holbrook gained a passion for film at a very young age. She loved horror movies growing up, and took immediate interest in all of the grotesque makeups.

Inspired by the TV show “Supernatural”, Alyssa dressed up as a character for comic con, and tried out a slit throat makeup. After receiving positive feedback, she continued to pursue SFX and soon fell in love, taking a particular fondness for grossing people out. Alyssa has been working as a makeup artist for ten years, branching out her skills in beauty, film and character makeup. In 2019 she graduated from Hollywood’s Cinema Makeup School with the Complete Track. She is a member of IATSE Local 706.

Alyssa is based in Los Angeles and can work locally in Utah. She is available for travel world wide, union and non-union work.
